Lee McConnell is a Boxing Coach and Personal Trainer who specializes in mitt work from New York. He has been boxing for over 10 years and has his NASM certification. Lee’s training style mixes high intensity conditioning and strength training to create a fast pace calorie burning workout.
My name is Michael Hughes. I’m a 29 year old boxer and trainer. In 2012, I achieved one of my biggest dreams of winning the NY Golden Gloves in Madison Square Garden fighting at 141lbs. From there, I went on to win the 2014 NY Metro Tournament at 141lbs, and in 2016 I became the 152lbs New York Tournament Champion. However, my resume in combat sports starts way earlier than that, at 11-years-old with Tae Kwon Do. That’s right, I knew how to kick before I could punch, haha! Later in high school I got involved with Tiger Schulmann’s MMA (back then it was known as “Tiger Schulmann’s Karate” #oldschool).
My goal with anyone I work with, is to help them maximize their own fitness potential. Boxing and general fitness training can really help you learn a lot about yourself, not only physically, but your mental strength and will power as well. Whether you want to learn self defense, shed a few leftover pounds that have been clinging to you since your last holiday meal, or improve your overall strength and conditioning – whatever your goals are, I’m here to help you reach them!
